Chennai: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) announced the results of the Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test held on October 11 for the 2025-26 academic year.

The examination, introduced to enhance students' literary skills in Tamil on the lines of Science and Mathematics Olympiads, saw a total of 2,57,761 students appearing across the State.

The test was based on the Class 10 Tamil Language textbook of the Tamil Nadu government.

A total of 1,500 students will be selected from this examination, and each will receive a monthly stipend of ₹1,500 for two years from the School Education Department. Of the selected candidates, 50 per cent will be from government schools, while the remaining 50 per cent will be chosen from government-aided and private schools.

The DGE has published the marks of all candidates on its official website.

Candidates who notice discrepancies in their name, initials, date of birth or school category (Government / Government Aided / Private) have been asked to report the corrections by 5 p.m. on November 20, 2025. Corrections may be sent by email to dgedsection@gmail.com and also communicated through the office of the Assistant Director of Government Examinations of the respective district, said the Directorate.
