Ahmedabad: The National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad celebrated its 43rd Convocation ceremony, honoring 477 graduates from various disciplines, including BDes, MDes, and PhD programs with Dr. Pramod Varma, Chief Architect of Aadhaar, UPI, and India Stack, gracing the occasion as the esteemed convocation speaker.The theme, "Collective Transformation," focused on students' design journeys. Inspired by a kaleidoscope, the identity symbolized students evolving into designers within a shared space.Post-ceremony, events included the Annual Design Show 2023, 'LINES,' exploring works at NID Ahmedabad. The Design Panorama gallery featured exhibits on cybernetics' history and its relation to design, as well as "Emerging Techno Futures" envisioning the intersection of design and emerging technologies.A web app, "Graduate Show 2023," allows the public to explore graduates' work. Messages from Dr. Pramod Varma, Ms. Himani Pandey, and Prof. Praveen Nahar emphasized design simplicity, its pivotal role in shaping experiences, and commended graduates for innovative projects.Dr. Pramod Varma, CTO at EkStep Foundation, highlighted his role in India's digital health infrastructure.
