The Consulate General of India in Jeddah, in collaboration with the Indian Doctors Medical Forum (IDMF), organized a Health Awareness Session and Medical Screening for the Consulate staff, as part of the Government of India's 'Swachhata Hi Seva' initiative, which aimed to

In a noteworthy initiative to promote preventive healthcare and wellness, the Indian Doctors Medical Forum (IDMF), in collaboration with His Excellency Consul General of India Shri Fahad Khan Suri, organized a medical screening for the Consulate staff. Their shared vision of fostering health and well-being led to the successful execution of this program.
More than 100 staff members of the Indian Consulate and their families benefitted from the camp, receiving essential health screenings, consultations, and guidance from experienced medical professionals. The overwhelming participation reflected the community's appreciation and the growing awareness of preventive healthcare.
The event was inaugurated by His Excellency, Consul General of India Shri Fahad Khan Suri, who commended the medical fraternity for their dedicated service and highlighted the importance of consulate staff prioritizing their health despite their demanding schedules.
Dr. Farheen, Joint Secretary of IDMF, served as the Master of Ceremony, warmly welcoming all speakers and attendees.
Dr. Ashfaq Maniyar, President IDMF and senior ophthalmologist, stressed the importance of eye care across all age groups and encouraged early detection of vision issues.
Dr. Khaja Yaminuddin, Public Relations- IDMF, delivered an engaging talk on diabetes care, emphasizing the pillars of a healthy lifestyle: nutritious food, adequate sleep, and regular physical activity.
Dr. Habib Alam, pediatric specialist, shared practical insights into child care with a dynamic presentation on daily dos and don'ts.
Dr. Mohd Saleem, General Secretary and oral maxillofacial surgeon, highlighted the significance of dental hygiene, especially among children.
Emphasizing the theme 'Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar', the session featured focused discussions on breast health awareness, led by Dr. Husna Nilofer, Specialist Gynaecologist, and Dr. Rahimunnisa, General Practitioner, who addressed queries and promoted women's wellness.
Consulate staff expressed heartfelt appreciation for the practical health tips and screenings, noting the session to be both insightful and beneficial. 'It was enlightening; we gained valuable insights,' shared one official.
