The Melbourne Murugan Temple, located in Sunshine North, a western suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, is a significant spiritual and cultural center for the Tamil Hindu community in Australia. This temple, known also as 'Melbourne Murugan,' was founded through the efforts of devoted followers beginning in 1995, with the first stage completed in January 1999. The official consecration of the temple took place on January 28, 2007, marking it as a fully established place of worship.
The temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Murugan, the beloved deity symbolizing war, victory, wisdom, and virtue, worshipped widely among Tamil Hindus.
