Chennai: Game of Loans, an upcoming Tamil-language psychological drama written and directed by Abhishek Leslie, is slated for theatrical release in October, the makers announced.

Produced by N Jeevanantham under the banner of JRG Productions, the film stars Nivas Adithan in the lead alongside Ester Noronha, Abhinay Kinger and Athvik Jalandhar.

The story unfolds over the course of a single day, largely set in one location, exploring themes of gambling addiction, debt and psychological breakdown.

The plot follows Daniel (Nivas Adithan), a jobless compulsive gambler whose routine is disrupted by mysterious visitors, pushing him into a dangerous real-world game beyond online betting.

Ester Noronha plays his wife Janet, while actor Abhinay, making a comeback after his debut in Thulluvadho Ilamai, portrays the antagonist Vishwa.

The film was shot predominantly inside an apartment in Bengaluru, with principal photography completed in 14 days in May 2023.

Joe Costa has composed the original score, blending electronic beats with ambient textures to reflect the protagonist's mental state.

The first-look poster was unveiled on August 13 by actress Aishwarya Rajesh on social media.
