Coimbatore: The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International College of Textiles and Management here conducted a workshop on dashboard development using Power BI for BBA and MBA Textile Business Analytics students.

The session, held at the GATE Laboratory, was led by Dr K Sandhya, Head of Learning, Training, Content and Instructional Design at KGISL Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. The programme aimed at imparting hands-on training in business intelligence tools.

Students were introduced to concepts of data preparation, cleansing, visualization principles and dashboard creation. The workshop also covered advanced features such as calculated fields, DAX and storytelling techniques.

According to organisers, the training enhanced the students' analytical and visualization skills and prepared them for industry-recognised certifications like Data Analysis Visualization Specialist.
