New Delhi: Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF), the CSR arm of Mirae Asset Financial Group, has partnered with Times Employ India Foundation to skill 177 underprivileged youth, including 54 women, under its 'Employability Linked Skill Training' initiative.
The programme, offering 100 per cent scholarships, focused on bridging the gap between academic learning and workplace readiness through intensive training for TimesPro's Banking Programme and IT Helpdesk job roles. Over 90 per cent of participants secured employment, with industry partners such as The Capital Box, Energize Express, Bridge Group Solutions and Einfratech System India offering placements and on-the-job training.
Ritesh Patel, Director, MAF, said the initiative has equipped young people with market-relevant skills, particularly in the BFSI and IT sectors. “Through this initiative, we aim to foster financial independence and open opportunities for students to shape their careers,” he said.
Arun Kabra, President - Enterprise & Skilling Business & CFO, Times Employ India Foundation, said targeted skilling is key to social mobility. “Our collaboration with MAF has enabled grassroots impact by providing aspirational youth with career-oriented learning,” he said.
The initiative, aligned with the Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation in Korea, combined technical learning with soft skills and placement support. In Gurugram, where access to high-quality skilling opportunities remains limited, the programme helped beneficiaries secure long-term financial independence and professional growth.
Since its establishment in 2018, MAF has supported educational initiatives across schools, colleges, civil society organisations and government bodies to improve outcomes at scale.
