Chennai: IIT Madras will open its student-led technical research laboratories to the public, including school and college students, on January 2, 3 and 4. Visitors can register through the link: shaastra.org/open-house.

IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti said the initiative, organised under the theme “IIT Madras for Everyone,” aims to provide wider exposure to cutting-edge research. Over the past two years, more than one lakh students have attended similar exhibitions.

This year's open house will feature live demonstrations across 80 halls showcasing research and development projects by students and faculty. Visitors can explore four national research centres spanning 18 departments, 11 institutional research centres, and 15 advanced laboratories, he added.
