New Delhi: Internshala Trainings reports a substantial 101% increase in female participation in online certification courses over the past five years. The report reveals a growing trend of women's enthusiasm for skill development in the rapidly advancing digital landscape. In the last year alone, women constituted 42.6% of e-learners, with web development, digital marketing, and Advanced Excel topping the list of preferred courses. The report also highlights diverse motivations, with 52% aiming to enhance employability, 32% seeking new skills, and 9% pursuing certification for job market competitiveness. Geographically, tier-1 cities lead in enrollments, but 59% of women hail from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, emphasizing online skilling accessibility across urban and rural areas. The summer months show a spike in enrollment, reflecting women's proactive use of leisure time for personal and professional growth. The completion rate stands at 50.4%, with an average daily e-learning duration of 43 minutes.
