Tirupur: The student edition of Dinamalar, Pattam magazine, hosted a quiz competition yesterday, inspiring students to showcase their knowledge and compete for prizes.

Organized since 2018, Pattam magazine's quiz competition, presented by Dinamalar's Student Edition, aims to enrich students' knowledge, foster a research-oriented learning approach, and encourage exam readiness.

This year's edition, for 2024-25, is jointly organized with the Chennai Institute of Technology, with support from SSVM educational institution and Satya Agencies as co-hosts.

The competition is being conducted across more than 150 schools in Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Nilgiri districts. Top students from each school advance to the semi-final rounds, from which eight teams will qualify for the grand finale, where winning teams will receive prizes.

Yesterday, the event took place at Wisdom Matric Higher Secondary School in Iduai, Tirupur, with 48 students competing in the qualifying round.

The top 16 scorers were grouped into eight teams, labeled A through H, and competed in an engaging quiz.

After three rounds, Dharanish and Sanjeevkumar, both from 11th grade and representing Team B, emerged victorious. School Principal Mr. Muthukumarasamy, Principal Ms. Manonmani, and Quiz Coordinator Ms. Ummusabi awarded the winners with medals and certificates.
