Kovai: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, have partnered to enhance education and research.

The collaboration aims to promote environmental protection, health, and renewable energy through joint programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Dr. Suryasarathy Bose, President, IISc, highlighted the significance of this alliance in expanding research efforts and educational programs. C Parameswaran, Principal Director at Amrita, emphasized the opportunity for enhanced research capabilities and practical learning for students.

The MoU includes exchanges and discussions between faculty and students, focusing on sustainability and social welfare initiatives.

The signing ceremony featured key figures such as Mr. Suresh Kodoor, Dr. Mahadevan, and Dr. Sudeep Kumar.

IISc ranks first and Amrita seventh in the NIRF 2023 National Ranking of Government Universities.
