Diploma admissions for the current academic year in Tamil Nadu's polytechnic colleges have been opened by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE).

Modes of Admission:
Full-time First Year
Special First Year
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry)
Part-time

Institutions:
Diploma programmes are offered in 55 government polytechnic colleges, autonomous institutions, self-financing colleges, and affiliated polytechnic colleges across the state.

Popular Courses:
Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer, Chemical, Petrochemical, and Printing Technology.

Eligibility:
Full-time First Year: Pass in Class 10 or equivalent.
Direct Second Year: Pass in relevant Class 12 syllabus or two-year ITI.
Applicants must be natives of Tamil Nadu and have completed their last five years of schooling in the state. No upper age limit applies.

Reservation:
Seats will be allotted as per Tamil Nadu government norms for GC, PC, PCM, MBC, SC, SC-Arundhathiyar, and ST categories. Special quotas apply for wards of ex-servicemen, sportspersons, and persons with disabilities.
