Admissions are underway for a total of 8,501 seats across undergraduate and diploma programmes offered by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and Annamalai University for the academic year 2025-26.

Counselling-based admissions are being conducted for 14 undergraduate degree courses and 3 diploma courses offered by TNAU, along with 3 undergraduate courses from the Department of Agriculture at Annamalai University.

Undergraduate Degree Programmes:
A total of 6,921 seats are available, including:
2,516 seats in government colleges affiliated to TNAU
4,405 seats in private agricultural colleges
340 seats in Annamalai University

Courses include:
B.Sc.: Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Food and Nutrition, Sericulture, Agribusiness Management
B.Tech.: Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agricultural Information Technology

Diploma Courses:
A total of 1,240 seats are being offered, distributed as follows:
450 seats in government colleges under TNAU
150 seats in government-aided colleges
640 seats in private institutions

Special Reservations:
Seats are reserved for the following categories:
213 for government school students
223 for vocational stream students
128 for differently abled candidates
20 for children of ex-servicemen

Special category admissions will be conducted through direct counselling, while others will be processed via online counselling.

Eligibility:
Applicants must have studied Physics and Chemistry in Class 12. Depending on the course, Biology or Mathematics may also be required. Students from industrial backgrounds may be eligible for select programmes.
